Where to find the Vampire in Kingdom Come 2
There's nothing quite like hunting for easter eggs in a brand-new RPG. Rockstar may be the masters of strange encounters with their UFOs, cavemen, and time-traveling gingers, but Warhorse Studios is challenging their title with tons of 'ooh' and 'ahh'-worthy discoveries in the wilderness of Trosky and Kuttenberg.
Kingdom Come 2 joins the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the pantheon of 'games where you can find a vampire', but as you'll soon find out, this one isn't quite as stab-happy as its cousins. Grab your crucifix, munch some garlic, and read on - for tonight, we hunt!
Getting into the Kuttenberg smuggler tunnels
First things first - you'll need to follow the game's main storyline to reach the Kuttenberg region, then play a little longer until you begin the 'Speak of the Devil' quest and have free reign to explore it. This will take around 20-30 hours (depending on how much side content you consume), but once you reach the region you'll want to head east to find its main city (also named Kuttenberg, funnily enough!)

The streets of Kuttenberg are a marvel in and of themselves, but the city hides a dark underbelly - and the easiest way to get inside is through a hole in the wall here on its outskirts. If you're having trouble finding it, follow the path along the river until you spot a ruined stone building - a wooden gate next to it will get you into a tiny courtyard where the entrance awaits. |
Now, this is just one entrance - skilled thieves will find that most of the city's shops have a locked door that leads down to the tunnels, but this is the path of least resistance. Press 'R' to equip your torch, then head into the darkness.
Where is the vampire?
The tunnels are an absolute labyrinth! Consider chugging a Saviour Schnapps to create a save you can return to if you get lost, then use the map and directions below to come face-to-face with the bloodsucker.
- Follow the shallow river until you reach a stone brick archway. Continue through it.
- Try to walk along the edge of the water to move faster!
- You'll eventually reach some toppled wooden beams. Take a left.
- When you reach the stash, fill your pockets, then continue forward onto a wooden walkway.
- Climb the ladder you find at the 'underground crossroads', then go left into a wooden corridor.
- When it splits, turn left again and continue in this direction until the corridor ends.
- You'll find the vampire soon after.
Now that you know where to find dear old johnny-two-neck-bites, I'd encourage you to seek him out for yourself. If you want a spoiler (as in, if there's any rewards or if he'll stab you), check the next section.
