All Coin Locations

Since you are here, I assume you’ve reached the Wood Side Apartments in Silent Hill 2, where you find this weird Coin Cabinet puzzle behind the reception desk. At first, you’re probably like, “Why do I even care about this thing?” But then you realize, this puzzle is crucial if you ever want to make it out of this creepy building.

But before you can take on this puzzle, you actually need to find three special coins, namely: Man, Woman, and Snake, hidden around the apartments. It’s not actually too hard, but if you are on time crunch, let me help you figure out where to get these coins. 

Where to Find the Man Coin?

The first coin you need to find is the Man Coin. For this one, you’re going to start by heading to Apartment 108 on the first floor. Inside, you’ll find a Golden Apple kind of handle on top of the cupboard. You will have to take it to Apartment 208, which is on the second floor. Take the stairs, and there, you’ll find another cupboard that will be missing this Golden handle, just attach it there, and try to push the cupboard aside. This will open a secret passage to another Apartment.

This Apartment will then have a locked safe that will need some code to unlock. Here’s the code you’ll need:

• Turn Right to 13,

• Then Left to 7,

• And finally Right to 11.

This should open the safe for you and inside of it, you will find the Man Coin and a key. 

Where to Find the Woman Coin?

Then the next coin we need to find is the Woman Coin. And for this one, we need to first have a flashlight, and a key for the Small Staircase. You can find the key by going across the hallway from Apartment 208, the one where we started from. Once you have both the key and the flashlight, head to the area near Apartment 212. There you will find a door next to a garbage chute, from where you can actually see the Woman Coin just away from reach. 

Now, you can actually use the key to open the door next to Apartment 213. From there, you can head upstairs to the third floor of the building. There you will need to find Apartment 310, which has this balcony that connects it to Apartment 312.

Climb into Apartment 312, where you will find a tiny crawl space covered in blood. You will have to crawl through it, of course, which will lead you to some sort of washing room, where you will have to pick up Canned Juice. Nah, not to drink. Take the Canned Juice, but use it to just knock the trash down on the ground. Now, you simply have to backtrack your way to the courtyard, where you can find the Woman Coin. 

Where to Find the Snake Coin?

You could actually collect the Snake Coin first, but I think it’s better to leave it for last. So, now with both Man and Woman coins in pocket, we need to head to the first floor hallway. There, we need to look for Apartment 116, which is further down the hallway. There you will find Eddie, that’s how you know you are on the right track. Inside the apartment, you will find an open window that leads to the Pool area, just hop out of the window, and there you will have to fight those acid spraying monsters lying in the pool.

You can fight them, or maybe lure them away just enough to get a few seconds to grab the Snake Coin from the Red Strollers in the middle of the Pool. Just grab the coin and make your way back to that cabinet to solve the Coin Puzzle and find your way out of this creepy building.
