Dragon Ball Sparking Zero comes jam packed with a whole host of heroes and villains, including the fan-favorite Antagonist Goku Black. This guy is super powerful, just like in the original anime series, just as hard to get your hands on in the game. You might not see this guy in the shop outright when you start playing the game, and that’s because it unlocks when you reach level 20 in the game.
Unlike many characters that you can simply by using Zeni, this one is actually hidden behind this level wall that you have to acquire first. But in this guide, I will help you achieve that in the best way possible.
How to Unlock Goku Black
Alright, let’s discuss in detail how you can actually get your hands on Goku Black. Well, there are actually two ways you can unlock this character, the first one is to Summon Super Shenron and Wish for more characters, and the other is by purchasing Black Goku from the shop, which costs around 75,000 Zeni.
1. Summon Super Shenron
For the first method to work, you need to collect all the 7 super Dragon Balls to summon Super Shenron. Or you can collect the normal dragon balls and then summon the normal Shenron, which gives you plenty of Zeni to spend on whatever character you want.
You can get the regular dragon balls by doing whatever the Zen-oh and Whis asks you to do. For the super Dragon Balls, you need to complete Goku’s Saga battles. Once you have got the Super Dragon Balls, you will be able to summon the Super Shenron from the Cosmos. This will consequently grant you a wish from the divine creature.
You can choose to “Ask for more characters”, which then gives you the choice to pick from two characters, the Goku Black and Fused Zamasu. You can simply choose Goku Black and he will be all your to play. But in either case, one of the characters will be available to unlock later if you choose to pick the other one.
2. Buy Goku Black from Store
If you choose to spend your wish on something else, but you’ve gathered enough Zeni, you can choose to buy Goku Black instead. Again, you will still need to be at least level 20 to see Goku Black in the store to purchase. But that requires a lot of Zeni, around 75,000.
This is not the fastest way, of course, because you first need to hit the level requirement, which takes many hours to get there. But if you have reached a certain level, and it’s not a problem for you, it’s better to wait it out. Once you have hit level 20, you can visit the shop, go to the customize option, and then browse the characters section.
Now, there you will find the newly added Goku Black available for purchase at 75,000 Zeni.
