Unlocking the final palace in Persona 5 Royal
If you’ve played the original Persona 5 game, you know it ends with the second semester. However, with Persona 5 Royal, the devs added a bunch of new content, including new endings, quests, and a brand-new Palace with the introduction of 3rd semester.
And while it seems pretty straightforward to just play the game, and you’d eventually get to the third semester. But actually it takes more than just playing the game till completion. In fact, you can actually miss the third semester and the final palace altogether, if you don’t know how to unlock it.
Since it’s so critical to make the right decision at the right time to unlock it, you need to know exactly what you have to do. So, in this guide, I am gonna talk you through the whole process of unlocking this additional content.
SPOILER ALERT: I might have slipped a few story spoilers in this guide, so do keep that in mind before reading ahead. With that out of the way, let’s get working on that third semester. Shall we?
How to Unlock the Third Semester in Persona 5 Royal?
Unlocking the third semester might not be difficult, but it sure requires making the right decision at the right time in order to get that extra content. And you can actually miss the extra content if you are not paying attention. However, all that needs of you is to simply raise your Social Link with the Councillor Confidant to Rank 9 before the date of November 18th.
If you don’t manage to raise your level to that, the game will simply lock you out of the Final Palace. However, it doesn’t take a lot of effort to rank up the Councillor Confidant. You can also speed up the whole process by using a Councilor type Persona in your meetings.
But it doesn’t end just here, you also need to do a few more things before you can get the full amount of that extra content. The first thing you need to do is to get the Faith Confidant before the date December 18th, and also the Justice Confidant to rank 8 by November 18th. Alongside that, you will obviously have to refuse any offers made by the antagonists. Otherwise, you will be off-tracked from your path to unlocking the “True Ending” to Persona 5 Royal.
If you follow this guide correctly, and well within the time, you should be able to unlock the extra content, alongside the true ending to the game, which is also considered to be the “good one” to the whole drama and suspense.
Also, here’s a tip before you head off from the guide: keep multiple save files, before approaching those dates. This will help you save time in case you miss out on the deadline, and have to start over again.
