The Dogs
Man's best friend can be a real pain in the ass when you're just trying to get around. Luckily, this pack of beasties is quite easy to help - you just need to feed them.
On harder difficulties, you'll find dogs whenever you're outside, but they tend to stick to the gardens. They run fast and can't be wrapped in tape, so eating a candy bar or two to outrun them is recommended. Fun fact - their names are Scraps, Flooper, and Mahoney!
How to help The Dogs
Like Ray, you can't do much for the dogs until you've gotten your hands on the green triangle key. Prepare for some backtracking - you've got two medallion pieces to find (but as always, my video guide here can help!)
- The first piece is inside the hotel where you meet Ricky, in a display case.
- The second piece is in the eastern area of the sewers, inside a safe near the fuse box.
Put them together via the strange door next to the hotel, and you'll get access to the Aviary. Here, you'll solve a brief puzzle by pulling a few switches and moving a battery pack up the stairs - you'll know you've solved it when a shutter lifts, letting you step into the ominous darkness. The area you'll find on the other side is home to a bag of dog food.
All that's left is to serve the doggies their dinner, so take the bag over to the chemical-mixing greenhouse in the gardens area. Pour it into the dishes outside, ring the dinner bell, and the dogs will have their first meal in a decade. Yum!
Naturally, they will stop biting the hand that feeds - and you'll get the 'A Dog's Best Friend' achievement to let the world know where your allegiances lie in the dog / cat debate.
