Silent Hill 2 All Endings
We diehard fans love exploring the depths of every single game. And when there are multiple endings involved, there’s no way we’re leaving any of them out. Silent Hill 2 devs seem to understand that, because they’ve added 2 brand-new endings on top of the 6 we already had in the original.
This has made the game so much more replayable and also a heck of a lot more complex to get into the ending that we actually want. You need to make the right choices at the right, over and over again. But worry not, I’ve got you covered.
How Many Endings are in Silent Hill 2?
Like I said earlier, there are a total of 8 different endings in Silent Hill 2 remake, 6 from the original game and 2 brand-new ones. However, you can’t access all the endings in the first playthrough. In fact, most of the endings are unlocked after the first playthrough.
In the first playthrough, you can only access three endings, namely Maria, In Water, and Leave, each requiring different actions, and choices. The rest of the endings are unlocked in the New Game Plus mode. Anyway, I will help you unlock each and every ending in the simplest way possible.
1. How to Get The Leave Ending?
We’re gonna start with the true, or happy ending for Silent Hill 2, which is the Leave ending. This one reflects Jame’s acceptance of his guilt. So how do we unlock it? Well, to unlock this one, focus on keeping James in good health throughout the entire game. Try to avoid letting his health drop into the danger or the red zone.
Only examine Mary’s personal items (handkerchief, letter, or photo) once in your inventory, and avoid interacting with Angela’s Knife. And yeah, most importantly, don’t give too much attention to Maria, just ignore her and don’t check up on her while she’s in the Hospital or Labyrinth.
