High Score Achievements (A+ Ranks)
Reaching an A+ score is no easy feat. These two achievements will test your patience and sanity.
- Aced It - Get an A+ on any chapter
- Get A Life - Get an A+ on all the chapters
Weapon variety. Combos. Speed. You'll need to get very familiar with enemy patterns, hone your skills, and practice relentlessly... or equip the horse mask (AKA Don Juan), and execute enemies while they're slumped against walls for a staggering 2,200 points. This little trick will see you cruise through the score requirements of most levels with the exception of Assault, where a developer oversight prevents cop enemies from slumping against walls. The frog, panther, and grasshopper masks (AKA Zack, Brandon, and Carl) are recommended when tackling this level for their effects (longer combo windows, faster movement, and drill execution points respectively.)
When you reach the game's epilogue chapters (16 & 17), you'll take control of another character and the gameplay is streamlined heavily. You'll need to aim for high combos to secure an A+ score, and should save your throwing knives for gun-wielding enemies that are too risky to approach directly.
Guns don't provide many points, so focus on melee attacks and use throwing weapons wherever possible, too. You'll unlock the achievement when all sixteen levels below have been completed with an A+ rank.
